Design Brief
The project was built upon the cover art created by the Monstercat internal team. The goal was to turn this static artwork into a dynamic visualizer that complements the track and enhances the listener's experience.
Concept & Approach
• Maintained the original artwork’s aesthetic while creating movement and depth.
• Developed a visual style aligned with the track’s energy, using the cover art as a reference for colour and composition.
• Synchronized animations to the song’s tempo, emphasizing key moments in the music.
Production Process
• Prepared assets from the original cover art and created additional elements as needed.
• Animated visuals in After Effects, ensuring smooth motion and engaging transitions.
• Optimized for playback across platforms and devices.
Outcome
The final visualizer enhanced the song’s release by providing a cohesive, visually engaging experience. It was well-received by both the artist and audience, accumulating over 75,000 views on YouTube, and reinforcing Monstercat’s energetic brand identity.
Reflection
This project demonstrates my ability to translate static artwork into motion, balancing technical execution with creative interpretation while collaborating effectively with the Monstercat internal team.
